Dr Julian Bennett FSA studied Archaeology at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, and has had extensive fieldwork experience in Britain, Germany, Romania and Turkey. He has taught at Bilkent University in Ankara since 1995, and has a particular interest in the Roman period and the archaeology and architecture of Late Roman and Byzantine Anatolia.
