Dr Angelos Papadopoulos

Dr Angelos Papadopoulos is an archaeologist and a resident of Athens. His scholarly interests focus primarily on the Bronze Age societies of the Aegean, Cyprus and the Levant. He holds a doctorate from the University of Liverpool and he is currently a Faculty member at College Year in Athens, a position that includes in situ teaching at several archaeological sites around Crete, the Greek islands, mainland Greece and Cyprus. He has been involved in a number of archaeological projects, surveys and excavations in Greece, Cyprus and the U.K. Angelos’ publications include papers and articles on prehistoric iconography, warfare and the archaeology of the Eastern Mediterranean region. Currently he is working on the study of Mycenaean and Cypriot pottery from various sites in the Eastern Mediterranean and the publication of an Early Bronze Age cemetery in western Cyprus.
