In light of the recent government update about the easing of COVID-19 restrictions within the UK and also pertaining to changing international travel rules, we are currently contacting people booked on tours up until 16th May to offer them an alternative departure date. We are working in departure date order, so please bear with us during this time, and if this applies to you, rest assured we will be in touch as soon as possible. We will also make further updates in line with future government updates, with the next expected regarding overseas travel on 12th April. Thank you for your understanding.

To all our valued customers

In what continue to be challenging times for each of us individually and for the travel industry, I wanted to set out our position with regard to your holiday bookings for 2021 and 2022.

As I’m sure you appreciate, predicting when and where we will be able to travel in 2021 is a very difficult endeavour, but we are taking heart from the superb progress of the vaccination programme and intend to operate tours as soon as we are permitted to do so by the UK Government and the practicality of ‘travel corridors’ to your chosen destination. Furthermore, when we do operate tours, we will continue to implement our industry-leading 11-point COVID-19 action plan, including COVID-enhanced health and safety protocols, complimentary face masks and socially distanced transportation, all designed to keep you safe and well on your travels.

If it does become necessary to cancel your tour as a result of (1) UK Government advice or local restrictions in your destination, (2) our suppliers are not in a position to put our COVID action plan in place, or (3) voluntary transfers resulting in unviable guest numbers on your tour, we are committed to providing the most convenient alternative arrangements, matching prices where possible.

The following conditions apply:

  • We are monitoring tours, particularly those due to depart in the next three months, on a case by case basis according to the three criteria mentioned in the note above.
  • If it does become necessary to cancel your tour, there will be no charge to transfer to new travel dates and we will match the price wherever possible. Alternatively, you may choose to transfer to any other 2021 or 2022 tour (with no admin fee to pay). Any difference in price would be payable or, if in your favour, refundable.
  • If you wish to transfer to a different tour before we contact you, there is no charge to do so up to 56 days prior to departure. Within 56 days, an admin fee of £50 per person applies.
  • If you wish to cancel your booking before we contact you, there is no charge to do so up to 56 days prior to departure. Within 56 days, cancellation charges as set out in our booking conditions apply.
  • If your tour is viable and we contact you to collect your holiday balance, this balance would still be payable, and not to do so would result in the cancellation of your booking and retention of your deposit (if within 56 days). Please note: there is no risk in paying your balance – your holiday booking/monies will be fully protected as part of our ATOL/ABTOT accreditation.
  • We reserve the right to cancel your tour within 12 weeks if the number of late customer cancellations or transfers make the tour commercially unviable.

The following conditions apply:

  • We are currently operating on the assumption that your tour will go ahead as planned.
  • Should any of the three key criteria above make your tour unviable we will contact you as quickly as we can.
  • If you wish to transfer to any other tour now, there will be an administrative charge of £50 per person to do so.
  • If you wish to cancel now, normal booking conditions apply.
  • We reserve the right to cancel your tour within 12 weeks if the number of late customer cancellations or transfers make the tour commercially unviable.
