Dr Michael Jones
Author and presenter Dr Michael Jones is a leading military historian with special interests in the Hundred Years War and Richard III. He is a member of several distinguished societies in the UK, including the British Commission for Military History and the Royal Historical Society.
Michael’s first book, The King’s Mother, a biography of Lady Margaret Beaufort, was shortlisted for the prestigious Whitfield Prize. He has published eleven titles since, including Bosworth 1485 – Psychology of a Battle, 24 Hours at Agincourt, with Philippa Gregory, The Women of the Cousins’ War, and with Philippa Langley, The King’s Grave: the Search for Richard III. His most recent work is a biography of the Black Prince.
Michael was TV consultant for the History Channel’s series Warriors, Channel 4’s Agincourt and Richard III: Fact or Fiction and National Geographic’s Mystery Files: The Princes in the Tower.
