Packing advice:

The Albanians wear western clothes, so feel free to dress freely. To visit churches and mosques, whilst there is not a "dress-code" as such, it is appreciated and seen as a sign of respect if your shoulders are covered.

Cultural differences:

Albanians nod when they mean “no” and shake their head when they mean “yes”, so take care when answering questions with body language.

Language:

Albanian.

Tipping:

Up to 5% or rounding up the bill is acceptable, but you are not compelled to do so. Tipping is always appreciated, however. Andante Travels will take care of gratuities to restaurant staff, local guides and drivers.
